Pavlovsky Posad

Ask any foreigner what he knows about Russia, and you will surely hear a traditional set of words with a pleasant Russian ear “not our” accent - matryoshka, caviar, balalaika, and a couple more ....

Judging by the current autumn-winter collections of leading fashion houses, the beauty of traditional Russian crafts is haunting international designers who do not know what else to surprise with honest people and sophisticated audiences.

Someone in the collections can see a more obvious, someone barely outlined "Russian accent" or, to use the language of fashion historians, Russian Touch, which excites the minds of artists and forces them to create clothes, shoes, accessories that are unique in their color and silhouettes .

Among the world-famous unique products that make up the pride and glory of Russia, a special place is occupied by shawls and shawls from the ancient city of Pavlovsky Posad. Annually, Pavlovoposadskaya Shawl Manufactory, founded in 1795, produces about 400 kinds of shawls, scarves, scarves, scarves, stoles, tablecloths made of wool, cotton and silk.

It seems that the city of Pavlovsky Posad and its traditional production became a source of inspiration for artists and designers from Kenzo House. Well, the Japanese, and several centuries ago, gravitated toward an incomprehensible and incomprehensible Russian culture for them. Now, apparently, they wanted to show their vision. The provocatively scandalous John Galliano, who went a little further and beat in his collection folk costumes of Bulgarians, Hungarians and other Slavic peoples, did not stand aside.

Needless to say, such "monsters" of the fashion industry, such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, Chanel and his comrades did not ignore Russian earflaps and mittens. Their collections are full of numerous frills and bright colors, even knitted. Designers create variations on the theme of insulated boots, more reminiscent of traditional Russian boots, and in the hands of slender young ladies you can increasingly see massive, almost shopping bags with colorful printed patterns. Well, why not a Russian fair with pancakes, quadrille, booths and dances? And why not Pavlovsky Posad with its more than two hundred-year history and the slogan "Flowers of Russia on Your Shoulders"? Welcome to the winter, ladies and gentlemen!
