Water code

"There is water that is drunk to live, and there is living water."

I must admit that for wine I have been weak for a long time, I like to attend wine tastings and select different varieties for dishes ... But I never paid much attention to water until I was invited to sort out the taste of Acqua Panna and San Pellegrino, of course, combined with wine. What kind of wine do you prefer with a well-done tasty steak?

Surely rich red, as any other is simply "lost" or will "jump" on the surface without adding juiciness to the meat. So it is with water.

Before us are two glasses of water and three glasses of wine.

Having appreciated the tastes of the very light, soft and smooth mineral water Acqua Panna and the refreshing San Pellegrino, pleasantly tingling the tongue with gentle bubbles, we went on to the wines.

Let's start with white

A sip of wine, a sip of Acqua Panna ... Wine, in harmony with water, dissolves, as it were, without leaving an aftertaste, but after a few seconds the taste of wine returns, becoming softer. White - San Pellegrino. Champagne presented, divided in parts - there is something in it! Despite the assurances of the “water sommelier” that San Pellegrino sparkling water kills the taste of dry white wine, being too bright for it, I liked this combination because of its unobtrusive lightness.

Move on to red

In combination with different varieties of red, both types of water created an unusually harmonious union with wine, leaving a fairly complete balanced aftertaste. Acqua Panna allows you to enjoy the intensity of the wine bouquet for a long time, being soft enough, while the carbon dioxide San Pellegrino makes the wine more “playful” and leaves the mouth clean, ready for the next taste sensations.

This is the same as we choose the combination with food - each has its own taste

According to the rules of Tuscan connoisseurs, meat is best combined with red wine and S. Pellegrino water, and white wine and Acqua Panna water should be served with fish dishes. I just liked the opposite combination. In any case, the pure taste of sparkling and mineral water without gas from Florence is so exquisite and delicate that it is suitable for drinking any of its type with dishes and wines of your choice. The main thing is not to forget about the serving rules - the temperature of the water supply (10-12 ° C) is just as important as the temperature of the wine. And, of course, a beautiful wide glass perfectly emphasizes its taste nuances.
