The Armenian people made a great contribution to the victory. More than six hundred thousand of our compatriots fought on the fronts, and more than half of them died. 70 thousand Armenians were awarded orders and medals. 117 Armenians became the heroes of the Soviet Union, and 27 soldiers became full cavaliers of the Order of Glory.
