Buyers in Dubai will be accompanied by smart self-propelled carts

In one of Dubai's markets, buyers will be accompanied by autonomous trolleys that do not have to be pushed.

The municipality of Dubai on Monday announced a smart cart project during the opening of the 10th session of World of Perishables (WOP).

The new system will be presented in an upcoming shopping mall in the central market for fruits and vegetables in Al Aweer.

Autonomous carts will be able to identify and follow their “buyer”, as well as deliver products to the car. At the same time, buyers do not have to push the trolley - it will ride on its own.

The municipality also presented at the exhibition a project related to tablets in sales areas all in the same market. Using these devices, the inspectors of the municipality will be able to remotely learn about the state of vegetables and fruits and associate this information with data on food products that pass through the ports of the country.

With the help of tablets, buyers can find out information about products - about the country of origin, expiration date and so on.

Another smart project for the market is called Smart Hand Device. There are three platforms on the market for loading and unloading goods. The Smart Hand Device system finds the shortest and safest ways to work on these platforms.
