This fall, millions of books will fill the shelves of the largest book fair in Dubai.
From October 18 to 28, Dubai will host the world's largest book fair with more than three million new books - Big Bad Wolf Books. The fair will be organized at Dubai Studio City.
The fair will be open around the clock, and visitors will be able to purchase as many books as they can carry. Books will be sold at discounts of 50-80 percent. For those who want to organize their own small library, trolleys are even prepared.
Visitors will find a choice from a huge number of genres, including fiction, children's literature, books on art, design, cooking, business and much more.
"Our books are of high quality and very affordable prices," says Mohamed Al Aydarous, managing partner of Ink Readable Books, the organizer of the fair.
Big Bad Wolf Books was founded in 2009 by a couple concerned about the low literacy rate in Malaysia. The couple opened a bookstore in 2006 in Kuala Lumpur to instill an interest in reading with the locals. However, the founders soon realized that in order to achieve the proper effect, it was necessary to scale up. Opening new bookstores was costly - and there was a fair of unsold copies by publishers at which books are bought today in Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Manila, Cebu, Colombo, Bangkok and Taipei.
