Dubai, UAE. 35% of all tourists arriving in the United Arab Emirates prefer a lazy vacation - on the beach or in the spa, as well as adventure, according to a joint study by the Hilton hotel chain and YouGov.
During the study, more than a thousand respondents were interviewed who spoke about their travel habits, including the reasons for the trip, its cost and the choice of destination.
The results show that 16% of respondents mention important events in travel, such as a family gathering, wedding or concert; 13% of respondents prefer sports - for example, skiing and hiking in the mountains, 12% spend time in the city - make purchases and sightseeing.
It should be noted that 38% of respondents are inspired by advertising on social networks Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat, and 17% follow the recommendations of family members and friends, 10% watch documentaries.
Among the key decision-making factors are the cost of the trip (44%), as well as safety, ease of obtaining a visa and the availability of direct flights.
