Interpol wanted by 20 years old killer detained in Dubai

Dubai police detained a man who committed murder 20 years ago in his home country.

Dubai police arrested a man from Asia who committed murder in his home country 20 years ago.

Colonel Saeed Al Ayali, director of the wanted department, said Dubai police received data on the killer from Interpol. It was an old passport and an old photograph.

Police began checking their base and found a suspicious similarity between old photographs of a wanted man and an Asian who had lived in the UAE for a year and a half. Employees found that the fingerprints of the suspect match the fingerprints of the wanted person. The man admitted that he was involved in the killing of a number of people due to financial disputes and ethnic differences. It turned out that all these years the criminal bought passports, changed the data and his appearance.

He admitted that he ended up in Dubai a year and a half ago, and did not expect an arrest, since before that he had managed to evade justice.

Al Ayali said that the authorities of the Asian country from which the person arrived were informed of his arrest.

He added that the police system helped in detaining many criminals who change their personal data in order to obtain a new passport. Dubai Police has taken a number of measures to identify individuals through international cooperation and extradition.
