In September 2017, fuel prices will increase in the UAE

The United Arab Emirates Department of Energy has announced new fuel prices that will take effect in September 2017.

Fuel prices in the UAE will rise in September, the Department of Energy said on Tuesday.

The cost of a liter of Super 98 will be 2.01 dirhams ($ 0.547) compared with 1.89 dirhams ($ 0.514) in August; Special 95 - 1.90 dirhams ($ 0.517) compared with 1.78 dirhams ($ 0.48); E Plus-91 -1.83 dirhams ($ 0.49) compared with 1.71 dirhams ($ 0.46).

The price per liter of diesel fuel will increase to 2 dirhams ($ 0.54) in September from 1.88 dirhams ($ 0.51) in August.

This is the sixth increase in fuel prices this year after the Department of Energy raised prices in January, February, March, May and August in accordance with international oil prices, which fluctuated over the specified period.

World oil prices are rising compared to last year due to an agreement between members that are and are not members of OPEC.
