Spider-Man plans to conquer the tallest building in the world - Burj Dubai

47-year-old Frenchman Alain Robert, internationally known as Spider-Man, is about to conquer the tallest tower in the world of Burj Dubai. Since 1975, Robert has visited the heights of such world-famous buildings as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Sydney Opera House, the Federation Tower in Moscow and many other world skyscrapers.

The record for the conquest of the Burj Dubai tower is scheduled for September 2009. According to Robert, the 818-meter tower is a real challenge to his abilities. Robert is going to conquer the engineering giant, as they say, with his bare hands: without ropes, belts or any other devices commonly used by climbers. It is planned that an amazing climb to the top of Burj Dubai will be shown live on television. When asked by journalists about how Spider-Man will prepare for the record, Robert replied that "he plans to come to Dubai several times, evaluate the goal and consider ways to achieve it."

Robert is a frequent visitor to the UAE. Recall that in 2003 he climbed onto the roof of the National Bank of Abu Dhabi, and now, in addition to the Burj Dubai tower, he is also looking at the walls of Atlantis, The Palm Hotel.
